Londoner Jeremy Warmsely unleashed his debut album 'The Art Of Fiction'. The French-English songsmith was signed to Transgressive Records, the label that gave you the Young Knives, as well as helping out Mystery Jets, The Rakes and Bloc Party, etc in their early days. So expect something a little off beat and special.
The song titles read more like those for short stories than pop tunes. You've got 'The Young Man Sees The City As A Chess Board' and 'Jonathan & the Oak Tree', amongst others. Well, at the least the name of the album would have given away the fact that this was not a collection of whinny love gone wrong songs. Some like 'I Promise' might not be as lively as some of the others but you'll risk missing the exuberant ones such as '5 Verses' and single release 'I Believe In The Way You Move'.
