Twee Pop

Twee pop, more commonly known as indie pop, is a genre of alternative rock music that originated in the United Kingdom in the mid 1980s. The term “twee pop” was more commonly used in the United States.

Twee pop is characterised by jangling guitars, a love of sixties pop and often fey, innocent lyrics, and followers are often said to be "revolting into childhood".
