The Feeling's album, 'Twelve Stops and Home' had managed gold-standard sales, and they were getting sufficient playlist time on national radio to make Phil Collins jealous. This was their third single release, and I still didn't understand the hype. It's a bitter sweet country-influenced ballad that wouldn't be misplaced being written and sung by session musicians touring social clubs around the North of England.
The chorus descended to a cringe-worthy "bababababy, I think I'm going cucucucrazy" which was so bad I've given it its own line. There's a far too well rehearsed but simply basic guitar solo to break up the repetitive proceedings, and finally a fading three part harmony to bring it to an over-extended finish. Either they were clever deceivers or they really were poor, but everybody save for myself seemed to be backing them!
