There was a fear that the turnout for this gig would be mostly screaming teenage girls. Not that we're suggesting Oklahoma's The All American Rejects are a girl's only band, as the male members of the audience will at once testify with some caveman like grunting at the request of singer Tyson Ritter. It's just that essentially the quartet's sound is just too pop and perky. And to be fair, the female screams did make themselves heard more. So there were preconceptions and prejudices, but hey they seemed like a nice friendly bunch so it was decided that maybe attending one of their gig wouldn't be so painful after all.
The Rejects are certainly adept at putting on a show with flair and personality. They opened with 'Dirty Little Secret' and played all the hits such as 'Swing Swing', and ended with the title track from their then current album 'Move Along'.
